“Where do we launch?”
Our flights originate in Oshtemo at Flesher Field on 9th St. (map), one mile north of the I-94 Oshtemo exit.
"How do we get back to our car?”
Our Michigan Balloon Corporation retrieval vehicle follows the balloon during its flight to take our adventurers back to the launch site. Family and friends who want to join in the adventure may follow in their own cars.
“How long will it take?”
Please allow three hours for your excursion, so that you can enjoy this gentle sport to the fullest.
We will meet about a half hour
before flight time to witness the inflation. Bring a camera - you will be impressed by the size of the balloon! The flight will last about an hour, and then your pilot will lead you and your fellow passengers in a traditional champagne toast after landing. At the end of our excursion, the Michigan Balloon Corporation retrieval vehicle will return our adventurers back to the launch site.
“How many people does the basket hold?”
Our large balloon will carry six passengers, plus the pilot. We can make special arrangements for intimate flights, as well as accommodate larger groups. Call Michigan Balloon Corporation at 269-327-6446 for special arrangements.
“What should I wear?”
Ballooning is an informal sport. We suggest casual clothing, slacks, and low-heeled shoes. The temperatures aloft are the same as they are on the ground, so whatever is suitable on the ground will be fine in the air.
“Is it windy in the balloon?”
No. Since we are moving with the wind, we don’t usually feel a breeze.
“May I bring a camera?”
Of course! A camera or camcorder is a must for a balloon flight.
“Do I need reservations?”
Yes. We ask for two weeks advance reservations, but we may be able to accommodate last minute bookings. Call Michigan Balloon Corporation at 269-327-6446, or request a flight at this web site on the Request a Flight page.
“How much does it cost?”
Please see the Request a Flight page for flight price details.
